Life has a lot to offer, but many times, we are too busy trying to deal with the everyday  stresses that life throws our way.  Not only are adults preoccupied with their concern for the recent economy issues in the Windsor/Essex County region (among all the other "grown-up" issues they have to worry about), but kids and teens, too, have to deal with the stresses and the pressures of school and their extracurricular activities.

Knowing the important role that yoga played in her life and how it positively affected her ability to find peace and balance among being a women, a wife of many years, and a mother of three, Simone Reaume-Hayes founded YogaWorks in 2004 in Tecumseh, Ontario, so that others, too, can learn how to breathe, relax, and find peace within their own lives.

Starting her own business is something that Simone always wanted to do - she wanted to live her dream and not regret having to say that she never tried. Opening a new business is a big step to take, but Simone fosters strong faith, and she believed in herself and had the confidence to move forward with her ideas and her beliefs, and her decisions have been increasingly reaffirmed with her growing clientele - she knows that she is offering something that is helping them in some way in their own lives, because they keep coming back.

Simone has been teaching steadily in the Tecumseh community since 2004 and has visited many schools and child care facilities, where she could share this great yoga experience. But in its high demand, YogaWorks required its own space and opened the doors to its new studio located in Suite 3 at 1100 Lesperance Road (Tecumseh) in March of 2008.

Through YogaWorks, Simone offers a variety of classes - for kids, teens, adults, seniors, and special abilities - such as beginner classes for those who have never done yoga, gentle classes for seniors or those who suffer from joint or muscle pain, intermediate adult classes and private instruction, YogaKids and YogaTeens and Parent/Child Partner classes, and YogaKids summer camps and birthday parties. Classes are offered year round, and a special price package will be offered for the summer months.

The art of yoga offers immense benefits: it increases focus, flexibility, and strength, it improves mental clarity, it teaches better breathing practices, it improves sleep habits, and it creates a balance between whatever is going on in your day to day life - whether working, at school, or out of the home activities. Yoga allows you to release your stresses and have fun, which improves your over all health and well-being.

Simone has been married for 15 years and she and her husband, Phil, enjoy the time they share raising their three children, Joseph, Claire, and Jordan. Together they all have adapted to the wonderful and exciting changes that YogaWorks has brought into their lives, and Simone is grateful for their tremendous support and encouragement - she couldn't have accomplished all of this without them!

Simone loves what she is doing, and knowing that she is bringing positive elements into the lives she touches on a daily basis is what success means to her.  She is blessed every day when she gets to see the physical and the mental improvements that her students have made and are continuing to make.
